Throughout the course, three major topics helped shape how I think about cultural competence in the classroom:
As an early childhood educator, I believe every child deserves to feel seen, safe, and supported in the classroom. One of the ways we make that happen is by building cultural competence that is our ability to understand, respect, and work with students and families from all backgrounds.
This blog is my personal Cultural Competence Tool Box. It includes tools, strategies, resources, and reflections I’ve gathered throughout this course to help me create inclusive, equitable spaces where all children can thrive.
